About Imelda N. Mayhew PDF Print E-mail

       Imelda Nacua Mayhew, the youngest of five girls, was born to her widowed mother on March 6, 1950 in Cebu, Philippines. She finished her Nursing Degree in 1969 from Cebu Velez College of Nursing and her Bachelors in Nursing in 1971 from Southwestern University.

  

       She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1972 and moved to warmer climate in Southern California in 1974 where she worked as an ICU RN and also met her husband, Charles Mayhew, Jr. They now have 2 grown daughters, 2 sons and two grandchildren.

  

       She is currently very active in her Parish at Holy Family in Artesia, California where she's been a parishioner since 1975 when they moved to Cerritos. To keep up with her Nursing career, she continues to work at Kaiser Permanente Hospital Baldwin Park in the Long Term Care Department and still finds time to travel at every opportunity

  

       After graduating from Cursillo Class 599 (March 13-16, 2003) in Riverside, California, she has been an active participant in the movement and finds it gratifying and satisfying to be able to serve in any capacity. ♦
